All you need to take a photo like this is some items you will have around the house.

I used one sheet of white craft paper from a art shop for the base, but any white paper or reflective material will do. I used a reflector for the back ground but again any white reflective paper will do. Place a remote flashgun out of site pointing it at the background, this will give you that bright white background.

Find a wine glass or anything that's transparent and a bright item I.E strawberry, tomato or in this case a red disc from one of the kids board games to drop into the glass.

Manually focus, and set the shutter speed to your flash guns syc speed, then just practise.

Try different items to drop into the glass and most importantly have fun.

My setting from memory for this shot were.

f8
Shutter 1/160
30mm manual focus
ISO 100

I used one of my studio lights but a flashgun is ok. I set it to 1/16th power with a honey comb grill.

Hope this is of interest to you.

Phil
