Fair enough, just wondered why it's so much cheaper via eBay when they already have a website. It's not as if there overheads are any less with eBay, surely? They're both websites at the end of the day.

I know it's mad, must make business sense to them or the prices be dearer.

The ECP website does have an offer on at the mo with 30% off, you need to use the code SPRING30, which may work out slightly cheaper for you and you can do a click and collect too.

Sorry just checked and it works out at 34.99 on their website with the above code, bear in mind it is a 4litre bottle though.

I was going to buy via Opie Oils but ended up going with ECP via eBay. I've since received an email from Opie recognising the fact that I left their site at the checkout page and that one of the things they offer is a price match but NOT from auction sites etc because the products are normally "grey imports" or "old stock". Do either of those matter? Grey imports not so much but old stock? Oil is oil surely and won't deteriorate with time whilst stored correctly...? Interested to see peoples' opinion on this.

Last time I looked into it, as long as oil is kept in an unopened container it doesn't have a use by date.

I'd find the link but on my phone at the min.

Some good deals to be had. I used to use Opie Oils years ago when they were breaking in to the mainstream market on car forums etc but they are not as competitive as they used to be. Or rather there is more competition now.
