Firstly what can i say... a massive thanks to Badger5, what an improvement it has made...

It didnt start of too well when we did the smoke test it was leaking a bit (or alot) from the intercooler :(.

When we got it off it was actually cracked in two places :/.... however Bill had a replacement for me :D.

I was shocked that my 13 year old 2001 S3 AMK engine with 124k miles on it (bearing in mind its 210bhp standard) was pushing out 214... at least I hadnt lost any horses :).

With Bill's magic managed to bump that up to 247bhp and 256lbft which im more than happy with

Lets just say the drive home was an experience

will post up pics and videos tomorrow

Sounds like you had a really good day and have some great results. Look forward to the video and the pics. Enjoy. :) x

Congratulations on the remap.. Great result.. That's fascinating your amk prior to the remap was still exceeding the the factory figures, maybe it's down to your ownership, do you spoil this motor?

it did have B5 induction.
turbo was a little bit tired at top end which an actuator might rejuvenate it past 5krpm

Well presented car tho... super shiney!

good to meet you guys too

enjoy

As Bill said it had the B5 induction, forge 008 DV and milltek cat back exhaust… other than that serviced every year and since ownership I have made sure all fluids have been changed so it was a good base to work on

Pics of Tuffty's Beast... Going on what others have said until you see it in person pics don’t do it justice

handy features to have

Like the sound of the launch control as well... I havent used it yet (which i think my clutch and gearbox are thankfore for! lol), other than the little test to show me it where it burbled of course :D

Excellent results. I've been meaning to get my S3 remapped for a while now but other non S3 related costs keep popping up to spoil it. I'm sure I'll get there in a month or two.

How much was the map if you don't mind me asking and how do you switch between the various power outputs?

Remap was £250 + VAT, includes a smoke test beforehand as well which not all mappers do... to check for any boost or vacuum leaks (you'd be suprised what it will find) mine was running fine... and Bill managed to find my cracked intercooler and a slight leak from the positive side of my N75... just needed the jubalee tightning a nip.

Bill programs it to the accelerator and brake pedal as not everyone has cruise control like the method other mappers choose to use- very easy to use and switch between, but he shows you how to use :)

Glad to hear all that ! Booked my b5 stage 1 for in 2 weeks time, i have a s3 210bhp aswell so will be good to be able to compare results !

Actuator defo helps! I happened to change mine to a stiffer one when I was at stock k04, ended up getting 250bhp on actuator pressure lol. 281bhp on stg2 all because the actuator helped so much!

Got mine fitted ready to see Bill on Thursday :)

You won't be disappointed! I remember that day, I was so happy! From a 180k miled car... Good luck 👍

Where did you get it from and roughly how much if you don't mind me asking? :)
