ASN's Pub

Alright for some hey!!

Now get to work...unless you are already there :)

Oh btw Jo, did you know there is a new Euro Car Parts opened up near us.

Morning all!!!

The kitchen is done :)

Just need to arrange everything now and put it in places we will forget and then argue about not being able to find anything....lol :)

Jo, it has opened, i was on the site yesterday and it said on there that it is now open, pretty good as that will be nice and convenient.

I will add a slideshow shortly of the work that was done from start to finish of the kitchen.

Cool, I will need to pop over and setup a trades account then, but Darren usually sorts me out with a better discount these days.

Yea sounds like a plan, you will have to sort me out too, although as you say Darren usually sorts a good deal out, so its all good :)

Afternoon everyone.
Nilz, love the kitchen, like the tiles around the worktop and underneath the cooker hood. Very nice indeed. :) x

Thanks Sandra,

The tiles were a right mission to get as they were a special order and they got the shading wrong a couple of times, but we got there in the end.

Nilz, That's the exact same layout as our house.
I think our kitchen is a bit thinner but longer.

Where you got the patio doors we got a window and 5 foot drop to the garden.
The window was in the same place and the kitchen door.

I like it mate.

Thanks for the pics.

Its nice to see what others have done to give you an idea of what you can do to yours.

The thin long kitchens just dont work for us, thats why we had to get it changed.

Its defo worth doing if you are looking to do that as it just makes so much more use of the space thats there, its nice now as the evenings are lighter, so we can sit in the dining room with the patio door open and as its a south facing garden, we literally get a whole day of sunshine (when its shining).

The long thin kitchen is annoying with use two, the two door and its the only door to the garden.

Here's the floorplan of our house.

We are torn knocking the wall down and having it open plan.
Making it into a breakfast bar, keeping the doors and moving some units into the dinning room because we'll lose the 6 or so that's on the wall.

Our garden is south facing as well, we like the massive window in the dinning room. Its great.

Not sure really what to do for the best.

That layout is the same as ours apart from upstairs, our bathroom and toilet are one.

We were originally going to go through lounge and redo the kitchen, but the kitchen space was more important to us, hence us going for what we did. I think its going to work alot better for us, as we will be able to spend more time together as a family in that room, it feels more open and spacious already and then the front room, will be the living room where we settle down in the evening to fall asleep on the sofa in front of the TV...lol!!

A mate of mine has the same layout too and he went through lounge and extended the kitchen back and around the patio door, so it was L shaped creating a seperate kitchen and dining room. If we were going to stay at our place long term, then we would defo have done that, but as we are not, didnt want to go crazy spending money when we can use it in the next house.

good work nilz!
now you can make it all messy and nominate a drawer for sh!te, (everybody has a sh!te drawer lol! :) full of bits and bobs and random phone chargers and reciepts and takeaway menus and strange things!, or is that just me?
how is everybody?
i am thinking of getting my car wrapped! :tocktock:
got a few stone chips and an area on back quarter that has had paint that i did not notice and am not happy about! :asskicking:
you can't notice it, but i have after washing in the sun and it is doing my head in!
so, what colour? hmmmmm thinking gloss white, baby blue like damos, kermit green or maybe a matt grey!
expensive it seems but i like to rinse cash on nonsense! (so our lass keeps telling me!) lol

Tinted already mate and with the blinds up its so dark in side, proper dogging machine.

As for it going low, I'm toying with the of the bars you can get.

I was listening to Still D.R.E on the way, set the air suspension to Dynamic and thought its not the same as you see in the video.

Morning all,

Spinning alloys and wheel trims came around like a plague years ago and then just vanished.
Never even faded out, they just stopped!!

You can still buy them on ebay though.
