Hi just fitted some rear red bulbs on my 3 door 2010 and getting a canbus error although the bulbs were stated as error free no resistors needed. I only tried 1 to c how it looks if i put both in do you think this may clear the fault.is there any other methods used without re coding 20140329 16375820140329 163811

How hard is it to fit resistors or can u clear the cabus error ?

ive just swapped the rear bulbs to led ,at the same time i turned off the cold diagnostics in the module for all the lights , may just be coincidence but i have no errors at all , i even have cheap (10 for £4 ) number plate leds fitted as well and no errors at all .

heres the bulbs i fitted for the brake lights and rear fog ,super bright white led .

sure its in either central electrics or convenience module(forgive me im not too well atm and have memory problems) but in the long coding its there as an option ,sure its something like :activate cold lamp diagnostics . i just unticked it . i left all the others for rear brake lamps ,fog lamps etc active (same module ) .

if i remember tomorrow il take a few pics of the module coding .

My friend had a CANBUS error, was due to the boot lock being corroded by water from the washer jet. He'd changed his rear lights too.

That's interesting as Rob has installed identical red LED canbus bulbs to me in exactly the same car but gets errors when I don't. Indeed, I've got the same type of Solarzen canbus LED bulbs in both tail lights AND rear indicators but neither have given a single problem. There must be a difference somewhere..., very strange??
