Hanging Pedal

I was looking at photos of the 8V (I have an 8P), and noticed that the cars I've seen all have a little hanging accelerator pedal instead of the bigger floor mounted pedal on the 8P.

Are there any 8V's that have a floor mounted one?

I remember reading a review on the Mk7 Golf when it first come out and apparently the change was for cost reasons.

Ahh such a shame... I was pretty surprised when I saw it, thought that the floor mounted one really suited the A3.
 
I liked the floor mounted go kart pedal.
Until I started getting stones and pebbles stuck behind it.

But I can heel and toe with both varieties, so all is good.

Yeah my previous car had a hanging pedal. There wasn't much difference in general use, but yeah I like the look of the bigger pedal much more!
 
My right-foot sole wear has been far less since getting the 8V with ACC :)
 
The 8P A3s were the only ones to have the floor mounted pedal. All the previous versions had the hanging pedal type which personally I much prefer. It will be nice going back to the hanging type with my new 8V when it arrives.
 
I quite liked the floor pedal in the 8P, but it does make it look like a bit of a bus!
