Hello folks.
Been a while.

I still have my R plate A4 Avant 2.8 Quattro auto.

I'm about to emigrate so need to move it on one way or another.
It's not the best example you've seen but certainly isn't the worst either.
I'll post up all details if required of course.

Basically it needs a damn good clean, a windscreen and front wiper/arms.
It has a cat back stainless exhaust. Recent cambelt change and services etc.. and done zero miles since last Mot.
Wheels are 17" from an A8 I think (will post some pics as someone here will probably know exactly what they are) and is a set of 5 (one brand new with new tyre) with Continentals and wheel spacers.
Very recently had all new suspension arms. And some other service and brake stuff.

Really trying to decide if it's worth selling it as is, and if there'd be much interest, or better off to strip the desired parts and scrap the rest.
That would be a shame though as it's a good runner.

Any thoughts, opinions, offers appreciated.

What kind of time frame are you looking at before you emigrate?
If it's not too far away is it worth the hassle of stripping?

Timeframe is an issue in that I could do with it out of the way asap.
Just don't want to give it away. But I guess if someone came along with a reasonable offer it'd go just to save the hassle.

Just put it on ebay, 99p start and let it run.

You'll probably get 500quid minimum for it, more if it has tax and test.

It has MoT but no tax.

These are the wheels. They're probably worth as much as the car itself.

yeh they're quite nice rims!

I'd be tempted to sell them seperate, but you'd need wheels for the car then.

I had that thought myself. But the original wheels were stolen along with loads of other stuff when the 'metal merchants' robbed my yard.

Unless someone wants to swap wheels I suppose.

I will be getting rid of my boleros cheap. They need a refurb and new tyres but would be ideal if you wanted to sell yours.

could always grab some steels from u-pull-it or other local scrappy and nail those on?

I guess its effort and time vs cost. Lots of effort in getting some other wheels to get maybe £100.

Exactly that.
The effort/reward has to outweight the cost at this point.

TBH I'm almost at the point where someone with the right offer could take it away just to save the hassle.
