I'll paint arches and brakes tomorrow, then I'll pop the hub to a mate's garage on Monday to press new bearing in.

I thought it was an orion as I can see in 1 of the picture the rear wheel and bit of the quarter panel. The a3 is very smart looking.

A3 looks nice BUT i see a series 2 RS in the garage which looks very clean, i had a series 1 for 3 years i should of kept it, awesome cars..!!

About 8-9 years ago we bought a genuine Ariel base due to the original perishing within 4-5 years of being made!!!
Well the replacement has lasted longer I suppose due keeping the car under cover, but yet again it's perished and looked poo!!!

So the other week I thought I'd order just a replacement seal off eBay...

Today I've fitted it along with a few hours polishing/ protecting the paintwork with my trusty Kestrel da mop...

Still comes up well I think...

As a clean freak myself, it looks epic! But good god, don't say mop. Mops are what awful body shops use to skip over the paint work. You're way above that!

I actually saw a picture of this car months ago and its what made my mind up about getting an A3 and not a MK4 Golf! Love it.

Passed MOT today

It did 402 miles between the last MOT...
Need to use it more!!!

Since we had this remapped we've noticed the boost isn't smooth anymore...
Now we don't do many miles in it so its not really a mega issue but I like things right...
When we had it mapped it was winter so didn't really notice if it was there before or after...

So... the engine is a AUM...

If you floor it in 1st, 2nd... it seems to pull well, into 3rd, 4th, or 5th, seems to boost hard, then off alittle, then boost hard again, then off alittle through the rev range... ( Like it over boosts, then cuts back, then over boosts etc )
Down the motorway in 5th it just does your head in!!!
I've got no faults on the dash display and am getting nowt on Vagcom...

I've replaced the N75 valve today and put another new standard dump valve on... just because I have a stock of new spares lol...
Anyone got any ideas?
I'm gonna pop Audi in the morning and check what part numbered N75 valve it should have on incase there's a difference?
If not i'm gonna try another map on it?
The car idles fine, starts fine... drives lovely bar this issue... I don't have a boost gauge plumbed in so am only guessing its over boosting...

Sorted...

Been out On test drive and it's lovely...

Love it.. looks so smart. Only thing I'd change is that badboy exhaust and possibly rear wiper delete :)

It's the misses's car she picked it...
It's different, Golf anniversary style Miltek... :p

Car looks sweet mate, with regards to the boost issue, I was going to say change the N75, which you have done, I presume from your post above it is all sorted and running properly now?

Also what wheels are they on the car, size and where you got them from please?

Cheers
Nilz

Cheers... Plan to keep it like this for a long time...

Future classic that can only go up in value at some stage in this condition we hope...

Quickly detailed the misses's A3...
Ain't been used for a few weeks, it's due Mot soon so thought id treat it before it's due... :detailer:

Checked out of the garage...

Looks quite good ( as if it wouldn't )

Quick check in direct sun... Jobs s good'en...
Looks fab!!!
Not back for original paint bar warranty work... :buffer:

Jeez this car looks nice! Is it on stock suspension? How is the ride with those 19" wheels? How many miles did it do between MOTs this time? :p

Pi 40-50mm drop, on Apex shocks now I think...
Rides firm but drives really well... Handles great...
Mileage lol again not many... Less than 1000 this year, maybe less than 500...
Will have to check...

Should look into fetching this a few shows really, would do a few more miles that way...
