Had an email this morning to say my order will not be getting these wheels, but back to the standard black edition wheels, so not very happy to be honest. I did ask whether they could source the wheels internally and swap them, but I would have to pay an additional £4000!! Now pondering if I should continue or cancel my order, shame really as I was really looking forward to it. Full list of changes below:

Why have they stopped doing the S5 and RS5 in Estoril blue. Really like that color.

Agreed, lovely colour. The reason I went with these wheels was because I thought the Sportback black edition wheels look a little undersized and gave a nice contrast to the Daytona Grey. I can't even change the colour now. I understand at some point they do change specs etc. but they should at least honour the orders placed at the dealers, and ensure the dealers don't take further orders resulting in disappointed customers. Badly organized to be honest, they should have a transition time to allow those to filter through.

I agree, they should definatly honnor the original order with you. Seems abit out of order to be honest

That is a ****** cheek really, you should at least be offered them (as they must be in stock still) given you've already placed the order based on that spec. Surely it breaks the contract doesn't it if they start making fundamental changes to the vehicle without your consent post agreement.

Call Audi UK and see if you can get the decision swayed, and apply some pressure to see if they want to really lose your order.

Thanks for all of your support, I have contacted Audi UK and gmbh, they are now investigating the matter, I will update with their responses accordingly!

Finally received an update today, and its good news! Audi UK contacted me to say they have received a confirmation from Germany that the order has now reverted back to the 20" wheel upgrade. Spoke to the dealer, and he couldn't believe it(something they said never happens!!) - he went to check the system and it had already been updated at the factory and the build week has not been compromised either. Great result, just shows what can be achieved with a little email pressure (my understanding was the copy to gmbh that did the trick).

Thanks again for the support.

My god; I'm staggered (and pleased). I've not often seen a situation reverted; well done!

To be honest, I'm very surprised they have too - they now have a happy customer.

Astonishment here too !!!!

Great result though :icon_thumright:

They do look good! I wasn't really looking forward to having rotors again, as nice as they are, grey on grey somehow just looked a little bland.

I wanted Daytona or Monsoon grey, but I wanted black edition. Given the rotors are predominantly grey I decided against it and went black for exactly that reason. Lack of contrast made it look too flat.

Couldn't agree more - I've always wanted a car in Daytona, which is why my Rotors will be going straight-off to be redone in hyper Silver!

Great result on the wheels 94jdh - just shows we can beat the corporate machine sometimes! :)

Cheers

Thanks Keef, good idea with your wheels. Both you and warren_S3 are spot on, there isn't enough contrast on Daytona for it to look right with the original colour of these wheels.

Daytona is one of my all time favourite colours but as you say you need a bit of contrast to make it work with the titanium rotors,my old Daytona Grey RS3 looked great with the Titanium rotors due to the aluminium optics pack pictured here in 45bvtc's garage .

Hi Daytona - Who would've guessed! :)

One of the reason for ordering my S4 was the fact that they made Daytona available on the S range, even though my dealer told me it wasn't available! I still keep having panic attacks...should I change to Monsoon...no...yes...no!

I'm sure the sliver wheels and mirror casing will be sufficient contrast - just wish I could get the wheels as OEM silver for the S4

You Guys talking about contrast etc .

Just checking mine now :)

Think I'm ok with the estoril & titanium mix :yum:

(I do REALLY like the 20" RS4's rims though and think they seriously suit the A5/S5)
