DTM register / owners thread

Joining the dtm club.
iv wanted 1 for ages just love the look of them.i even put all the original bumpers on my tdi a while ago.
but im now buying a sprint blue 55 plate needs alot of work but I love a project.needs an engine rebuild as the top end has run dry.cant wait
 
Welcome to the DTM club bud. Get some pictures up :) Good luck with your project as well. I'm sure there's plenty of people willing to help.
 
Thanks guys tomorrow is the day I do a 14hr round trip to go and look at the dtm and if its good its getting collected monday.also if anyone on here needs a dtm front bumper I have a genuine brandnew front bumper for sale.
 
looking thro the tread think mine will be number 3 when I collect it this week as it is a yellow one having owned a 2007 special edition a A6 2010 le mans a 2009 S3 also yellow and a 2011 A4 b8 black edition I like the not so ordinary Audis so saw the DTM and decided to go back to a B7 hoping this will stick around a bit longer

I remember seeing this one on autotrader but wanted stupid money. Hate to think what you paid in the end.
 
That DTM looks great in the yellow!

I planned to get an Avant and am happy with my one so far but if I was to change it I'd definitely consider a DTM!

9k isnt so bad, especially as its decent mileage. looks awesome in yellow though. keep us updated if you do any mods to it

glad this is still going, i've still got mine albeit unloved at the mo

got my VFIZ i cba to fit, did fit a 3" throttle body the other day that has livened it up a bit. still waiting to sort out mapping MRC as per are being a PITA :(

can't even get R-Tech to map it as MRC have locked ecu and want £100 to restore to stock!
 
Yea mate realy is in good condition. I fancy getting myself a m3 miss the rwd!

Hi mate dont no if this helps but i got my dtm mapped from standard to stage 1 with r-tech last year will it not be he same program
info as they have all my details on file?

I've had my black DTM for a couple of weeks now. Looking back through the last 5 pages I can see the previous owners pics lol. Really pleased with it. As always I've got a thing for all the options which I'm slowly piecing together. Will get some pics up soon.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about the issue olly. Dont sound like you been having a lot of luck with MRC. How come they just wont unlock it for free if your not pleased with the map?

Hi everyone... :)

Very much like Alex (Lizard Racing) I picked up my A4 DTM 2 weeks ago today. New to the Audi scene, had VW's before... Love the car, really didn't expected it to sound as good as it does. Pretty quick for a big car not quite quick enough though. Thinking re-map first to see if that will settle me... :)

Spent the last few days seeing what options I could go for and then the god dam emissions light came on last night on the way home. Still on this morning.. :-(

Gutted. Hopefully its just a sensor..

Anyway pic of the car after I got her home.. 55plate, 65,000 miles.. Full service history in phantom black.. Standard at the moment.. :)

thanks for comments above regarding my car, MRC took the car in last night and i'm hoping i'll get it back soon and it will be ok again. time will tell i guess.

Hi again all,,

Just got home from seeing Rick from Unicorn Motor Developments in stockport.

3 and a bit hours driving from Cardiff and dam was it worth it.

I can't believe how underpowered these cars are and how much difference a good map makes.

Rick is a genius, knows his stuff and more than happy to help with anything. I would advise anyone who is looking for a custom map to give him a call. You will not regret it.

The guy has Jedi skills the car now flies..

Driving home was definitely fun :hubbahubba:

Hi all quick update cars all back together with mot and tax after being off the road for close to a year the engine is nice quite and smooth the rest of the car still needs work to get it how I want it.its booked in at unit 20 for a remap at the end of the month can't wait :w00t:

Going to view a dtm soon but need to know if anything I should be looking for or common problems its a 55 plate with 67,000 on the clock its due a service so what oil do you guys put in yours?

hiya all ive owned my dtm for just over 2 years now... love it just wish i had the wonga 2 throw at it an do the s3 injectors an turbo mod. good to see so many on here and with so much advice an ideas. all ive done is a DNA remap and a replacement panel filter.

Chris i've been thinking of selling mine for a few months now but its just just too hard to let go! I'm moving in the summer so my commute to work is going to be longer and I may be forced to buy something boring like a diesel!! but i may keep it as a weekender...

I'll let you know if i decide to sell...mines in sprint blue :D
 
Good looking DTM's guys. I was after a 2005 S4 however the DTM caught my eye. I have a new company car coming soon which is for the wife (2014 A3 Sportback) so the sale of my 2003 Golf GTi PD150 and my 1997 Audi Cab will be going towards funding my purchase of a DTM. However looks like I might have a long wait. I'm quite specific in what I want. So in about a month's time I'll be hunting for a Sprint Blue DTM.

However I do ask one favour of you DTM owners. I have currently in my possession the Audi Brochure from July 2005 which lists the DTM in it (cost me a small wedge to aquire) and once I have converted to PDF I am happy to share this with you guys at no cost to yourselves. However what I am missing is the sheet with the retail pricing and spec list that came with the brochures. Do any of you guys possibly have this from July 2005 that you wouldn't mind copying and e-mailing to me? My only reason for dong this is that for every car that i have owned I own the original manufacturers Brochure and I'd also like to see what the standard equipment was on these cars, that way when I am looking at a potential purchase I know instantly what was a cost option if it's fitted to the car. Audi don't hold this in their Archives, they don't even possess the brochure I currently have (which once I have scanned it Audi Customer service will also have one for their archives). your help is very much appreciated.
 
Thanks appreciate that but already know of these links (been a VAG vehicle owner for over 10 years). What I am after is the audi supplied Price list and spec sheet which detailed what was the standard spec for this model and the optional extras that could be fitted which came with the brochures that I have. No one seems to have a copy of this, not even Audi.

Hi Jay and welcome!

I think that would be very kind of you to share the brochure that you have attained. As I am sure there is a few of us that would like to view such item. I will look around and see if I have the sheet with the retail pricing and spec.

With regards to spec I may not have the original document or paper at hand that you requested but I can go as far as telling you every optional extra was or is fitted to the DTMs as well as the price. I myself went to the very extent when searching for my Sprint Blue.

Thou I didnt go as far as acquiring the brochure my logic was why have the brochure when I can walk to my garage and there the real thing sits :happy:

In the recent years I have collected information regarding all DTMs I have seen and viewed. Everything from number plates, the spec they came with the mileage, were the car is roughly based any vehicle damage etc. I have collected 70 of the 211 on the road and 6 off the road totalling: 70 out of 217. Still a way to go.

The idea was to eventually compile a brief DTM website listing all the 250 DTMs. And then giving the choice of ea owner to either mail me or send confirmation that they own a DTM. Then at there choice have what ever information they supply and post it up on a site. Then the end goal was to have a DTMs only forum but at my current state that is a bit to much to manage but we shall see in time.

Giosabcsl, thank you very much for your reply and it's good to know that someone is actually documenting the existence of this model. If you do have the original pricelist I would very much appreciate a copy. I'll also bear in mind your info when it comes to searching for my DTM as far too many times owners hide repair work done to a car if it's not recorded. Handy to know.
