Hi peeps hope everyone is well.

In the picture below, drivers side, which of the screw do you adjust to manually adjust the dipped beam? And what does the other one do? And am I correct in assuming passenger side is the same?

Thank you

Both seem to be up/down that's what confuzzled me lol

well iv just done mine, and one is left right im sure, but it really doesnt look like its going left right and does look like up down aha.

One is definitely up and down and the other is left to right. All headlights have the ability to be adjusted manually in this way. Best thing to do is wait until it is starting to get dark (not fully dark as you won't be able to see what you're doing in the engine bay, lol)and park your car a metre or so from a wall or garage door, then turn the adjusters slightly, while watching the beam on the wall/door to see if it moves it up/down or left/right. You MUST remember how much you've turned the adjuster though (quarter turn clockwise or anti clockwise etc) so you can get the beam back to the starting position. Hope this helps. If you need info on correctly aligning your lights, I can help with this too. Paula  xx

Thank you for clarifying

My lights were pointing down to the floor then adjusted them too high people were flashing and stuff I've lowered them now and found a happy medium so I'm not blinding folk.

I guess best way is to use those boxes on a MOT ramp?

It's good you got your lights to a suitable height, whereby you can see well down the road without dazzling oncoming drivers or people driving their car directly in front of you. If no one is flashing at you and you can see the road well into the distance, then to be honest I wouldn't bother having it done at an MOT station until MOT time is due. Your lights can't be far off perfect if as you say your lights are better for you and not causing any one to flash at you. Now you have your vertical alignment/height sorted out, you may want to check that your horizontal alignment is correct too. Once again with your car parked in front of a garage door or wall (on a level surface) with your lights on, mark on the wall (with a couple of pieces of tape) where the most intense part/hot spot of your headlight beam is on each side. Then slowly reverse your car. The hot spots should not move either further apart or closer together as yr car reverses. They should stay the same distance apart and if they do not, then you may need to adjust the horizontal alignment screws. :icon_thumright: Paula xx
