Driving yesterday had a little smash with another can don't think it was my fault. So annoyed with it worse thing was the guy was so awkward to deal with. He's gone through insurance just waiting to here back from mine as I reported it. Been quoted £450 for the work to be done. I might buy the headlamp and wing my self and then just get someone to paid and fit. Think £450 is a bit steap without the headlamp as well. I've managed to get the dent out a tiny bit and cleaned it up with a bit of Tcut just for now.

I've posted the pics for you mate as they were not displaying.

£450 does not sound too bad actually to be honest, I'm assuming a new wing and paint and a respray of the front bumper? Most places here are £200 for a bumper re-spray...

Defo source the wing and headlamp yourself though if you can and I'm sure you will save a bit.

Cheers for that, I have managed to get all the white off by just using Tcut on the bumper so doesn't need a spray I think. Can get the parts for £100 so will just need a fit spray and blend

Maybe even try and source a black wing from a breakers or Ebay, there will be loads about and save yourself a good bit right there!

Pretty sure they're just bolted on on the A3?

Yeah I have been looking to see if I can get one already painted but at £80 for one which is scratched may as well get new one and have it sprayed. And yeah think it has 5-8 bolts which holds it on. Went to scrappy down road from my work at dinner today latest Audi they had in was a 1998 A4

Had similar damage myself not long ago, I paid £460 total for a new headlight, new wing mirror sprayed and bumper repaired and sprayed.

thats not gona be a oem wing tho
and really at that price i cant see it been blended into bonnet bumper and door

I'd still be going for that £90 used wing myself but whatever works for you.

to be honest i dont think thats that bad i had someone ding my car it took next to no paint off but it means its will need the wing and into the door and skirt painting

its going to be £710 and thats no parts bar paint and some clips for the skirt ! he is going to panel beat the wing back instead of buying a new one, the car is sprint blue so i can not see if not being cheap paint

but they are probably one of the best autobodys around me proper old school

sorry just read more , you want a proper job not a pattern panel just painted off the car and fitted it wants blending in so you cannt tell it will stand out like a sore thumb if they dont do it well and will cost you more in the long run !

The bumper has a couple if cracks in it and he's sorting them out at the same time so that will be getting sprayed as well. Did my gaffers car (door and wing on BMW) and looked spot on. Does it really matter if it isn't a OEM wing?

If the paint on the top edge of your wing is in perfect condition then he could maybe get away without having to blend into the bonnet as he could just blend the new base coat in on the wing then clear the whole panel ,but he's gonna have to blend into the door or it will be seen ,especially under street lighting .

Dont need to blend on to any panels on the very dark colours and blacks to be honest, plus the bonnet is on a different line its not like painting one door which is next to another.
