Little part found in bonnet. Help please :(

Changing my bulbs and I came across this part just lay in the bonnet. Hoping it's not anything major to inside there any ideas?

Is that not the thing for headlight adjustment, looks very much like it?
 
It is, probably looking at a headlight replacement tbh. Unless it screws on easy
 
Headlight seams sturdy tho?? No movement from it??
 
Another vote for headlight adjuster. can you see one of those on the top of one of the headlight units?

In this picture look above the hazard sticker (yellow), that white piece is what we all seem to be thinking...

Yer there is one on both left and right lights. That mean it's previously been fixed then?
 
There are supposed to be two on each headlight mate! 1 each for Horizontal & vertical adjustment.
 
audi upgrades
Not that I know off. Never told If so by one and only previous owner
