Will these b7 wheels fit a b5

I've been looking to get some bigger wheels preferably 17", I currently have stock 15s. I've found the wheel I want for sale but they come without tyres,

a) Will they be ok to put on my B5?
b) What tyre size would be correct not to affect the speedometer?
c) The seller hasn't responded to me yet

I would ask the seller the offset and check from there.
the pcd will be the same and im pretty sure they would be fine

b5,b6 and b7 all have 5x112 stud pattern,not sure on et of b5 but b6 is around 43.

225/45/17 is the standard tyre size you need if they are 7j width

ET confirmed with seller is 45, they ran on 235/40/17, I currently run 195/65/15. Should be a straight swap hopefully, seen a couple of tyre conversion sites & a garage, the speedometer should run normal with those new dimensions.

235/40r17 is an unusual size.

It should be on 225/45r17 for a B5. Some B7's ran 235/45R17 and these would probably be ok, but will result in slight speedo error.

Ah thanks for that, 225/45 it is then, I see what you mean about the speedo, a site with those dimensions showed up as 29.99 when at 30.00. Much better result.
