Though I would make a progress thread now I'm actually getting stuff done.

so far:

bbs ch 18" reps
V-maxx coilovers
pipercross panel filter
team heko wind deflectors

brought the car from available car, previous owners where The Royal Bank of Scotland.
its a 2010 with 44k on the clock FASH.

The car when I picked it up.

I will get some better pictures once the coilovers have settled in and I adjust them, and i have yellow lamix for the fog lights to go and also a black grill.

Looking nice mate , can't go wrong with those rims .

Looking good :) Any noticeable differences with the filter?

Not really , I took out the plastic grill thing in the bottle as well. You can just hear the sort of recirc noise a bit more

Looks sweet chap.
Can I ask about the BBS reps - where did you get them from & what size / et are they ?
Also, what have you done with your old wheels ?

Off gumtree, and I'm not sure what et they are but they a little bit further out so maybe et38 ?
And they are 18x8. Wheels went to a nice Indian man who's tried to rip me off when he turned up, who then put them on gumtree 5 days later for £300 more than I sold them for haha.

That shine! I miss having a clean car

What's the ride like on the V-maxx? I'm torn between these and the APs currently

I'm thinking about taking mine off to be honest as it's just abit to hard for me. They will be for sale soon I think if you're interested ?

Looks good so far :)

Just careful with those alloys, make sure you don't cover any pothole as if you do then you must say bye bye to them, sorry to say that mate but my bro had his BBS reps for about 2 months and had to sell them on eBay!

Anyway hope that won't happen but just careful!

Enjoy the car :)

Any other mods soon?

I only normally drive on motorways so i should be alright.
will be getting cruise control fitted and RNS-E next.

Little update. Had the well known NHN come to work and fit cruise control, top bloke and an amazing service 100% recommend him to anyone.
Also fitted s-line pedals

Which "box" is the actual airbox? There seems to be 2 boxes on this engine, one at the front near the grille and one further back? I want to drill my airbox on cold side until I buy a Carbonio / ITG, when I pick my car up on Saturday...

air box is the one where my pipercross sticker is. to be honest i would just wait and not drill any thing its not worth it from what gains you are going to get, and you will just suck hot air in from the bay.

It won't on the cold side. I have done it with all my cars except my 2.0t FSI which had a carbonio already. IMO it reduces lag a little bit and sounds much nicer than standard which is all I am looking for.

What does the box at the front do? On the 2.0t FSI there is just a pipe leading to the front grille bracket...

its different on the 1.8tfsi to the 2.0fsi , the 1.8 is a rubbish design , the box at the front is just a pipe from the front bumper. from there it goes down and then round into the air box.

little update

fitted a genuine rear spoiler. lamin-x fogs , Plasti-dip grill , wound the coils down a little, ran spacers for a month.
I also have some s3 brakes to be painted and fitted.
