DRL to auto lights?

Guys,

I have just bought a new Audi, it has DRL's installed but no Auto lights

Was wondering how big a job it would be to add auto lights to it and how much cost will I be looking at. Currently the following switch is installed

Think theres a sensor module behind the main mirror, but i may be getting mixed up with the rain sensors for wipers.
 
would the switch need changing to a one with Auto on it? or can this one be used and just programmed ?
 
You will need a new windscreen for the new mirror and sensor to attatch too. The sensor will need wiring in too.

Then you will need a new light switch that has the Auto function instead of the DRL button (Mine worked with the DRL switch though)

You will then need it coded with VCDS.

How much did it cost you altogether if you don't mind me asking ?

I paid £180 for the windscreen although I am pretty sure you could blag this through your insurance should you unfortunately have a stone crack your existing windscreen....

I then paid £650 for the new mirror, sensor wiring and the new light switch and all of the relevant coding.

No it is not cheap but my GTC VXR/C63 AMG & Focus RS had it and I missed it.

Maybe I am just lazy though :)

It gives you coming home and leaving lights too which I find useful where I live. (There is a hack to activate this without the auto lights with the use of a repair wire and VCDS coding but works in the daytime too as it cant detect if it is light/dark :) )
