Hi peeps,

Just thought I would say hello. Been a while since I posted on the forum. Sold my last Audi and went and got a MK5 VW Golf GTI. Now got rid of the Golf and got myself an B6 Audi A4 1.8TQS. 86k with FSH. The only thing which i dont like at the moment is the wheels. It's sitting on 19" RS4 reps which have been curbed and need a refurbish but Im thinking of getting rid of and get some S4 Avus. If anyone got a set let me know. Also thinking of remapping. What are your thoughts?

Im so gald I got myself another Audi. I will try and post some pics later today.

Nice, comparison with the golf would be good as that's on my list when we eventually downsize. Cheers. O and pics please.

Sounds nice

Although I'm not sure on the s4 wheels on a non s4 if you know what I mean
Rs6 wheels are good the old and new style

As above comparison to golf gti would be great too

I will post some pics as soon as I can

In comparison to the golf the Audi is a much better place to sit in. The golf is no where near as nice and well built inside. The golf is nice but not as good. Leg room was good in the back too and can easily fit 3 ppl. That my opinion. Regards to power the golf was quick. I had a stage 1 AMD map with filter and exhaust and boy was it quick. Ko3 turbo would spool up nicely and sounds nice on gear change. Standard brakes are not very good and a lot have upgraded to TTS ones. Ride on 17s was good an all. In regards to reliability. These engine suffer from the same problems as the 1.8t which is blocked oil pick up due to long life service. In my ownership I did get the low oil pressure warning and luckily for me I was just parking up in drive so switched the engine off straight away. I did the DIY myself and it's a lot easier to do then the 1.8t. Other than that is making sure cam follower is changed with services as these are prone to fail from wear from the cams and can cause some serious problems😁
Overall the golf is a very good car for your money and if I was to get one again i would get a ed30.

That sums it up. If you need any other info let me know

Lovely car i have a silver and I'm looking for 19inch RS alloys foe the same look.

I'm going to be taking mine off and puting some 17s on for the rest of the winter period. Most likely get shot of them and get something different
