Hi I am a new to this Forum, I have got a 2007 Audi A3 S Line TDI 2.0, I've got a few plans for the car;

1) a audio install,

2) beefing up security,

3) changing wheels,

4) and some type of Xenon headlight conversion,

5) and a stage 1 remap.

ive got most of the Audio sorted already, now in regards to security I wanted to delock the doors , as an extra deterrent , but I plan to get an alarm on it too, most likely Clifford or a similar brand. I'm just a ill worried if the battery dies I wont be able to get into the car. Can anyone comment on this? I'm not asking how to get around it on a public Forum but t same time wanna know there is a way (I can research that myself later).

where's the best place to get some I think they're called RS4 Alloys? And what's the offset of my wheels?

ive seen some cool Xenon headlights on some Audis, that id like to get, is there a kit to buy from somewhere for these? And lately a remap,i just want a mild remap, the car is already a 170 bhp, but how much does a stage 1 remap take it to? What's involved in the remap? And any recommendations where I can get the remap done (I'm London based)?

I inow these questions re probably easy answered but I'm new to Audis, so bare with me and thanks for your time

Hi, welcome to audi-sport.net. Glad to see you can post now. Enjoy the forum. :) x

Hi There,

Im also new to Audi and this forum. So new in fact that i haven't even got the Audi in my garage yet.

Why the sound install - Aftermarket sub perhaps? Cause from what I have read the standard Audi Symphony is more than adequate.

Sorry I cant answer any of your questions.Nice though on the RS4 rims

Check these guys below would really like them on my car.Not sure what they are but darn they look good. How about a few pics of your car?

They look the same as what I have 18" 7 twin spoke RS4 wheels. Mine came on my A3 S-Line 170 TDI

Hello and welcome to the forum,

I'm also changing the audio in my car to getting rid of the Bose as it's IMO rubbish lol,

A remap of the 170 would take to about 200-205 also the DPF may need removed to as they can cause problems with short journey's

Cheers Dan

How much does this remap cost? And what's involved? Is it simply a new "program being uploaded to the ecu? Is the DPF being removed a part of the stage 1 remap or is there some other type of benefit? How much is the cost?

Those are the wheels I'm after, but more importantly what's the color-code of that car? That's the colour I want to spray my car too (my other Car, but might spray my a3 that colour as that's the car I'm concentrating on).

Also what's the drop on that car? How much is it lowered by?

Another question on wheels , mines are 18 inch, can 19s fit or do they rub etc on the body?

A remap can be anything from £150 to £500 one thing I would say is go for a reputable tuner in you're area. Not 100% sure what is involved with the programming of the ECU but I'm sure another forum member will come along and give there 2p on that.

The DPF removal is a separate mod in its self but can be done as part of the remap and can give you "better" performance too when removed. A blocked DPF can cause turbo failure bad fuel consumption and other engine problems.

As far as I'm aware the PD engine is not engineered for a DPF.

I would say remap and DPF would cost around £450/500 from a well established tuner.

Hope this helps

Cheers Dan
