That's what I was going to ask Scott. The car is mapped for normal diesel and as its slightly cheaper then the nitro stuff I thought I'd try that first.

Ordered new number plate holders last night. Waiting on an email back from T8ups regarding LEDs, hopefully seeing @udi A3 soonish too sort my rev counter, and sent pics of dent to dent removal company. Getting a car shampoo machine this weekend too so the car will be looking and smellin brand new soon.

Lol, good point! Typically the v power is around 10p a litre more, so, probably never outweighed the cost! But, if the engine liked it more over the course of a full tank, i felt i was doing my bit for the engines health! If that makes sense! A placebo effect maybe? But i did see the extra miles per tank plus less soot kicked out irc!

Morning all, its Wednesday, so not long left to go!!

Still feeling all bunged up and cr4p, but hey ho, its all good :)

Plus, with the ticking time bomb it was always worth treating it kindly!!

How's the A5 going mate? Still loving it?

Lol, was waiting for you to pipe up! 😊
Yeah still loving the 5 mate! Just its a pain parking it as its as wide as the average parking space! Plus got huge doors, so you ideally need 2 parking spaces for it!
Been using v power in this too and i have noticed a difference in performance which is nice!
So smooth and nice to drive, plus not as crashy as the avant was!

Morning all. Brimmed the tank this morning with £72 worth of the black stuff. Range is saying 550 miles which would be nice if I could get near that.

I also got the radio working last night. 1 day without the radio and I was going mad lol.

Excited about collecting the golf tonight. Dervs all round!

You'll need to ave 50mpg to achieve 550mile on 72 quids of Derv. It's doable on the motorway easy, around town, forget it!

4 hours left.
I spent the first 5 hours looking at 3.0TDI D3 A8s.
I can't spent the next 4 hours looking at them.
More I look at them the more I think I should just chuck Audrey in and buy one.

ahhhhhhhhhhh

Morning all. I've been praying for the last 2 years that the ****** fence blows down as its a mess and needs replacing. Plus it's owned by my neighbours so not my responsibility. Unfortunately it appears that because it's so tatty and full of holes already, the wind blows straight through it :(

Couldn't you have given it a bit of "gentle persuasion" while it was dark out? ;)

Afternoon all. Still stupidly busy here, but still enjoying it. Managed to remain unscathed in the wind / rain. Average MPG is now 26.6 which is the highest it's ever been. Admittedly, I've not been doing much weekend driving, just the daily commute for the last couple of weeks.

Need to give the car some TLC at the weekend - desperately needs a bath / vacuum and it's been beeping at me for 2 days that it's low on screen wash... Bought a newer SatNav DVD from eBay the other day so now have one that actually works which is a bonus. Only cost me £18 too (it's only a 2008 disc, but it's still more up to date than the 2007 one it came with!)

What's everyone up to this weekend?

Boarding my loft.
I can't wait.
I might actually be able to sort out my garage and 3rd bed room.

Bit weary of the discs off ebay. Unless its a genuine one.
I bought one for mine, said it was 2013 but it was more like 2009. :(

I think i'm going to see Lego movie this weekend :D Can't wait!

Oh, and the usual...pushing for sex with the wife and getting denied. :moa:

Morning all.

Friday tomorrow. WooHoo.
late **** for me as well, which means I get a lay in and then means I'll be up early on saturday to get my loft sorted out.
Bring it on!!

Morning all. This week has felt long!

Hoping to be able to work from home tomorrow but need to play it by ear as its stupid busy at work at the moment.

Sent of some pics of my boot lid dent to dent removal companies to see if it can be done paintless. If not I'll be off to the bodyshop this weekend.

Edit: just been told it's too severe for paintless removal so will require bodyshop work.

Morning all!!

Had a cr4p night sleep last night thanks to my ****** coughing!!

How much is a used bootlid in the same colour Westy?

I also had a **** nights sleep. Every hour I was up! Might get on the beers tonight just so I'm out cold

Not found one in te same colour for sale yet but I'll keep my eyes peeled. It would have to be local and the same colour to save me any money I'd have thought.

I want a bodyshop quote for the boot and also a quote for a front bumper respray so I'll get some quotes anyway.

I got on the beers last night but I feel like I need more tonight after today's busy day of work!

Should of asked my brother about a respray...

Yeh local and same colour to be worthwhile otherwise re spraying it is..

It is! I have taken today off as had two ridiculously long days on Wednesday and Thursday. Ran out of fuel so nice chill out day.

Lovely sunny day here but stuck inside the office... Anything exciting happening today/ weekend?

In metaphorical sense mate. Knackered. Was on lates 23:30 finish at beginning of week then had to work Wednesday 05:55 - 22:30. 13 hours yesterday too. Just wiped out mate.

ahhh got you.

better week next week?

Sunny here jay, hopefully it will stay like it.
If it does I will get on the garage roof and patch up this leak, deck the loft out so I can store boxes out of the way, put Audrey in the garage while I decide her fate.

What you doing?

Hi lads.

Sunny here too. Getting my instrument cluster sorted today then this weekend I'm have all the seats out for a good shampoo and also shampoo the carpet. I then need to work out why my passenger footwell is wet. Got number plate holders to fit and hoping my LEDs turn up tomorrow too. Then all that's left is the boot lid bodywork.

Its Sunny over here too, was my half day friday last week, so in here all day today as well :(

No real plans for the weekend, just sorting kitchen bits and pieces out.

We have been after some worktops for the kitchen and the one the Wife wanted was coming in at just under £600, however I was doing a search and came across the same one on Gumtree, so travelled up to Derby yesterday and picked it up, brand new and still in the wrapping for £110!!!

Happy days :)

Apparently you can get cheap worktops from B&Q if you ask for any off cuts.
The length very obviously but seems like a good idea if you got a small ish kitchen.

I'm going to ask for one for my box room.

My old office had a new kitchen installed a couple of years ago & there was half a length of black laminate worktop going free, so I nabbed it - it's now used as a desk in my spare bedroom. Very handy.

I've heard the same thing about B&Q too.

Not a lot planned for the weekend - my Mum is in hospital at the moment (small hernia repair yesterday, should be coming home today though) so probably spend a fair amount of the weekend doing errands for her. Got the opticians tomorrow as need new specs for work.

If it's still sunny on Sunday, might try to repair the shed roof as it's got a soggy patch from the torrential rain. Dad has some spare roofing felt so will just do a temporary fix until the summer when we can sort it out properly...

Having a good day today - hardly anyone in so productive and peaceful. Plus it's sunny outside. :)

B & Q do the cut offs, so do Homebase, just ask in there if you need small amounts.

Hope your mum recovers well Nicki :)

Its pretty dead in the office here today as well as the majority of them are on a half day this afternoon, so just clock watching now!!!
