Just gone into Audi for 4 new tyres, 4 wheel alignment, new rear discs, pads. Couldn't adjust the alignment due to seized track rods. Plus the rear caliper is beyond repair and was binding. Waiting for the caliper to come into stock.

She'll be running like a dream when I get her back

Reasonable I thought
£45 4 wheel alignment
£89 per tyre (x4) fitted kuhmo
£180 rear discs and pads fitted

Fair play good quote for the work, my car is nearly due new tyres all around, it drives straight but I might get the alignment checked as I can't find a receipt of it being done before.
My previous car, e60 5 series, I had to have the alignment done twice in 1.5 years of ownership, guess the first one was due to changing the springs...

Jees £180 to supply an fit rear discs and pads. Took me 20 mins a side to do them and I'm a novice mechanic.

I bought Pagid front and rear discs and pads for £150

On the other hand the other work seems reasonably priced.

My o/s rear caliper was seized, ecp only charged £59 for a new one. What would Audi charge?

not sure. a fair bit i reckon. He's fitting a caliper from a local part company for me. Just because the Audi one are astronomical.

Make a mockery of the £1000 the last owner spent at kwik fit on service and discs/pads. Only done less than a year ago and all the rear brakes need replacing as they are worn beyond limits. shocking
