Merlin purple s3 anybody?

oooo i do like that colour, if you have instagram go take a look at "rs4tdi" 's instagram he has a merlin purple rs6

I love Merlin Purple. I've seen a b5 s4 in merlin purple...it looked stunning. Shame I don't know how to fix cars otherwise it'd be a good project.

Can't be many like that !! There is 1 B5 RS4 in that colour as well, a rare sight indeed!!

Pity the seller didn't say what engine work was needed :(

....would those TT sport wheels fit straight onto the S3 hubs ?
I quite like those on my noggy S3 :)

ooh, nice, where can i hide that from 'er indoors.

i do like the lack of punctuation, these sound a like a nice touch "black heated leather parking sensors ".

even if you put a grand into it it would have been a good project :)

I seen this advertised on ebay? Offered the seller £1000 and he accepted my offer. Then i didn't bother going down as i had found another running S3. So bought that instead.

I know the lad the lad whose bought it and i went to view, its done £170,000 on clock, Headgaskets gone and all the bodywork is very tatty all way round, also armrest and cupholders are broken and looks very tired.

I don't get how some people can own an expensive car like this and just let everything on it break and fall into disrepair....it's beyond me....

Ebay item number: 281247483964. It was relisted twice. before it got sold.

It's because some people don't realise the running costs of high performance cars. I mean S3s can be had from around £2 for a running one if you look around, it won't be a mint example, but it'll still be a £30k car to run.

Because they aren't that expensive any more to pick up dude.... BUT the majority of people haven't got a clue on what's required to maintain an S3.

Potential new owners are scraping together a few bags of cash and not looking at what the parts cost/what interval parts need replacing or refurbishing etc.

It's sad seeing so many tired examples out there on the market- but should keep the enthusiasts cars (us on here) that are well maintained at a decent value in the long run as I am seeing more and more S3s being broken for parts or just rotting away :(
