Hi guys, I'm from the b7 forum. I'm thinking about buying B8 model, I've seen some nice examples in my budget but they all seem to be high mileage 100k
Would you take a chance on one or try and find one with lower mileage?
ALso would you go for sline models or se?

If a 100k on a 2.0 TDi is a problem then I have made a huge mistake !!!! :)

My last A4 is a 1.8T petrol limited edition and I did 267,000 miles in it and my wife is driving it now so I would hope as long as you have confirm service history I'm sure it will be fine.

Lol it's just that I've never had a car with that amount of mileage before, I really do like the look of the b8 avants
 
As the guys said, so long as there is a good service history you will be fine! B8 Avants are lovey looking motors!:)

Anthony thats some miles, cant beat the four rings!:)
 
That's what made me stay with Audi ..... :) I will be changingthe oil every 10,000 miles :)

If your budget will stretch to a 3.0 tdi, and you can find one, then go for it, the 3 litre is such a nice drive and capable of mega mileage, they don't seem to suffer from as many reliability issues as the four pot motors.

I know this is not the same engin but one of my mates had an S reg 1.9TDi and he did 302000 in it before it gave up on him :)
 
Mates got a passat on an s reg with 300k on the clock. Bodys dinted and battered but it just keeps on going

The 1.9tdi diesel is legendary for longevity. Alas, the 2.0tdi is of a different design.
The best 2,0 tdi units for the B8 models are those made after late 2010 when the last oil pump/ balance shaft mod that plagued the earlier B7 engined cars was introduced.
