I have had the dreaded damp passenger footwell. First time it was due to the A/C drain pipe being blocked. Now it is because of the pollen filter seal. I have siliconed the seal, it's all good, tested with a hose.

I have noticed something else, there is a small black plastic bracket that sits in the right hand corner as you look at the engine bay. I removed mine years ago as I had to brake the ice in the screen wash pipe that the bracket clips onto.

I think this bracket acts as a water guard? However looking at it can't remember how it's fitted?

Can anyone take a picture please?

Not 100% sure what you're asking about - here's the pollen cover - the line shown clipped to it is the battery breather - and also a pic of a rectangular clip attached to the bonnet which guides the washer pipe. HIH - Mike

That's the one, rectangular clip guiding the washer pipe. When the bonnets closed it guides water away from the pollen filter.

Mike thanks, I can see where it goes and that mine is broken. The sticking out part is snapped.

Nice one ;)
