I'm not sure if my ASV is functioning correctly, as when i switch the car off I'm getting like a shudder/judder. Is there anyway I can check to see if its working ok?
hi which engine do you have in your car
ok the anti shudder valve is a black plastic pod with a black plastic plunger coming out of it its attached to the egr valve what you need to do is get someone to switch the engine off whilst you look at the plunger if the plunger shoots out it is working . if it does not shoot out when the engine is turned off that is because the rubber diaphragm within the plastic pod as split this split is usually caused by engine oil vapour from the egr getting into it and and perishing the rubber . the bad news is audi do not sell this part on its own you have to buy the whole egr valve that said i got mine off ebay for 40 quid hope that helps
