Strange boost issue when warm

Hi,

wondered I anyone could help. I went on my first longish drive yesterday since buying my a4 1.8tq. About 40 mins into journey it stopped boosting. Felt like turbo not working and no power. I started my return journey and all was working again, then the same thing happened.

Have driven it today and all workig again. I was thinking maybe it could be a faulty n75 but why does it only happen on long journey?

Recently had it remapped so will speak to them tomorrow howeve does anyone have any ideas in the meantime?

You need to get it scanned, but 17705 fault code would be a prime candidate.

Ok I've now scanned it and comes up with following code:

16618/P0234/000564 - Boost Pressure Regulation: Limit Exceeded (Overboost Condition)

I've seen possible causes on the Ross tech site. Just strange that it only seems to be on a long journey.

My 1.9tdi golf does this too. only when been running for a while. I get a similar code relating to the N75. Just never got round to replacing it. I just turn ignition off and on whilst coasting lol

Mines now sorted thankfully, went back to the tuning company and he made some changes to the map.

Have you had yours mapped ?

No, mine is standard but it is my N75 that is faulty
