Good luck with the sale mate. Shame you are selling up after how much work you have put into the car. What you going for next ?

Madkebab,

Unfortunately like I said I really needed a bigger car particularily for the rear leg room. I didnt realy fancy a A6 or a 5 series though if money wasnt a problem I would get the M5. However needing a bigger car and starting to do alot more miles with work, bearing in mind I live near Cardiff and work in Bristol I decided I should go over to the dark side an get an tractor like oil burner. If you look closely in the pics you will see my final choice even though I had previously slated it before. It is a Mondeo St TDCI.

It handles like a spounge, understeers and torque steers like a b**ch, like a snail from 0-40 but is actually quite comfortable, economical and extremely well equiped. All of this will take some getting use to and I am missing the Audi already even after only having it for a week.

Doh! Mondeo!?

Oh man... what is the world coming to??

Mods... ban him NOW!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I didnt realise a Mondeo is considerably bigger than an A4? Or did you get an estate? In which case why didnt you get an A4 estate?

There is about 8 inches more leg room in the back which was the main consideration and my main requirement. Oh and an actual boot opening you can actually put something in. I couldnt even get a 14" telly in the boot of the A4 as it wouldnt fit through the opening. N.B. The modeo also has an extra 100 lts capacity also.

Joys of a FWD/transverse mounted engine - more room in the cabin - *sigh* - what a shame though!

Guys,

She finaly went last night and it was a little sad to see her go. However at least I know she will be well looked after and will be his pride and joy.

Glad you finally found a good home for her mate. I hope you informed the new owner about this forum.

aww... I have been so tempted all along - just the mileage put me off. Glad you have found her a good home now. My hunt continues...

*whistles* - here S4 S4 S4 S4...

Zero - There is a lovely S4 in this months Audi Driver. Nogaro blue, full recaros, facelift model on a 99 plate, with 80k on the clock if I remember rightly. Was tempted myself. Was up for £11,950 I think.

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif - Looking for something under 60k on the clock really.

Actually looking at the V8 S4 at the moment - just waiting for all the p/x's to come in with the release of the 06 plate... just hoping I find a red one with satnav!
