Audi a3 2009 tdie dash card holder

Hi guys,

i need to know the part number for the card holder in the dashboard for the plan one as when i brought the card mine was stuck and still is.

i can find someone on ebay like below:

AUDI A3 8P 2003-08 STORAGE CARD COIN HOLDER 8P0941561 | eBay

problem with above is it has a silver trim which my current one does not, i think the part number i need is 8P0941561J but can't be 100% sure as the picture one above is the same number except without j.

i have taken mine out but the part number sticker is not on it.

also just seen another one on ebay but with h at end, all very confusing.
 
Assuming you've tried to fix the mechanism as they sometimes get stuck or become dislodged.

hi mate,

no i haven't, its just stuck in there at the moment, if i take out the stereo then i can push it out, but the minute somone pushs in again its stuck.

how can u completely remove it so i can have a look, i tried to see if any clips but could not see, i can get the tray itself out till it stops but not housing...
 
If you fancy it I've just fitted a cup holder where my card tray used to be so I have a spare mechanism but without a face plate (you can just clip yours on). The part number on mine is 8P0941561D. Don't quite know what the difference between the end letters is though.

PM me if you fancy it, be cheaper than the one on eBay.

Defo interested, what happened to the front plate? Also what year did it come out from? Or are they all the same?

Fixed it. Ripped it apart and the mecanium was messed up....bit of fiddling and it's sorted
