Fitting a pioneer headunit to my S3 with bose.

Ive used the CT51 adaptor.

The black box of the CT51 has a black earth, which I've earthed against one of the screws in the back of the headunit… which i presume is fine as it then gets the front and rear speakers working.

But at low down under 10 volume, there is slight fuzzy noise coming from front speakers.

These are the remaining plugs i have…. What do they do firstly?
The one wire in the red plug ( purple in colour)
and the brown plug ( which goes to the back of the old head unit ( standard)?

and then i have a spare brown plug from the CT51 unit…...

Do this look right to you lot...

Everything plugged up.

Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated...

Slightly off topic...but i am going to be doing this job this weekend.

Are you running a double din aftermarket unit? Your S3 full bose?
if so.....can you link me the fascia you used plus the cross over for the BOSE?

Sorry that i can be much help with your issue you are......Hopefully you get it all sorted!

im assuming that isn't bose jay as that isn't a bose wiring loom. and it looks to me like a single din. Everything seems fine atero i think its due to cheap quality in the looms that you get this interference type noise i had it in my a3 8l before. the brown doesnt need to be connected and neither does the red with the one wire(thats for the cd changer)

My car is full Bose but single din.....

I've found that it's the front speaker needs replacing :)
The other speakers don't make the noise :)

Sorry I carnt help, I know nothing about double din units.

Oh sorry atero didn't think it was a bose loom I had to buy an auto leads bose loom for all my speakers to work
