Just had a kenwood head unit fitted, everything works ok but when you change to function or turn the unit off it pops, any ideas on how to stop this please

do you mean the speakers pop mine pops but its the subs that only pop when i switch it on and off

I've just had a new head unit fitted and it popped just like yours . I went back to the shop and they changed the plug for one that had a little resistor in it and it stopped popping . You should be able to buy one from a car audio shop . Sounded like a common problem .

If you've got the harness adaptor that takes the RCA output from the head unit, you can cure the pops with some ground loop isolators from eBay
