Sorry to hear about you joining the oil club, what you have said is pretty much standard so I believe, I've been arguing the toss with Audi UK now for a while and all they say is it is at the dealers discretion and good will. My car has FSH with Audi. My Pistons and Con Rods being replaced is going to cost £1900, I had that reduced from just over £5000. As someone has said to me, it is pretty generous of the dealer considering I didn't get the car from them. In my little head I believe it should be the Head office who over rule everything and honour it all as goodwill but apparently not! Just make the promises that you are going to continue to maintain the car with that particular Audi dealers and wonder if there is any movement on it. You've just had the great expense of buying a trusted brand with Full Service history and mention you have been reading up on the fault and are aware that there is an issue with this particular issue.
Just a thought with your quote: £2400 + 30% = £3120 full price. I have an invoice here for 1 hours labour at £162 p/h, £162 into £3120 = around 20 hours work. You are basically getting a labour rate of £120 p/h by my working out. I would have thought there would be movement in that.
I am still in my first part of the oil consumption test, I've done 487 miles and have no idea how the light hasn't come on yet, I have a tiny little bar on the MMI.
