Shipping .. Week 46 & 47

Did about a 20 mile drive, ended up in dynamic mode about 1/2 way through, but didn't push it too much as very early days, so far C.O.D. is an amazing engine, very quite, smooth and refined, very impressed so far. I went to pull out of a junction in 4th gear by mistake and although was a bit slow obviously, it did do it without the slightest sign of juddering or stalling even though my pervious car would have struggled, car is quick, surprisingly so, you get from 0 - 30, 30 - 60, 60 - ** really quickly and just keeps going, the previous fastest car i had was a 2007 2.2 ltr deisel civic 0 - 60 in 8.4 second, so not used to amazingly fast cars, but feels quicker than any thing else i have had, so have to keep an eye on speedo.

Only picked up at 5pm and Was / is too dark so will do photos tomorrow !

They do say now that the engines have been near enough run in whilst in the factory so dont need to run them in as much as used to, according to alot of people - as long as its warm then its fine to give it some beans apperently :) but thats good news. Ive came from a 2.0 170 A3 Sportback so hoping i dont feel the power difference down to 150 .. but i have been driving a 1.0 aygo for the last 3 weeks so it wouldnt surprise me if it feels like a rocket ! and yes make sure you get some snaps up :)

I am going to take it easy first but like Grant says, Its very rare you have to "ease" the car in these days. Will still take it easy for first 600 miles or so then give it a bit of a blast! :)

Got a phone call this morning from the dealer, my car is in the country:yes:. Should pick her up in about a week.

It was built at the end of week 46 i think.

Gotta go up to do some paperwork today ! Dealers trying to do handover Friday ! :D

My A1 is doing the journey tomorrow! getting courtesy car tomorrow then pick mine up on sat :)

Phone call today, car should be with dealer Thurs or Fri and I'll probably pick it up on Monday.

Me too ! And oh I will do.. And nice early pickup .. Only means all weekend to play then haha. And good news sherba! A lot more pickups over the next week or so !
 
Damnnn.. Handover is Monday now as car won't be ready for Friday .. Ahh well ! However I did get a red collared lead and will get a blue one with car :) mothers getting £50 for Recomending me as she brought her a3 cab of the same sales guy :)

My car only just arrived in UK! How did I fall so far behind in the race? At least I just had the fun of selecting my reg number, though they were admittedly pretty uninspiring.

Not as far as I've fallen behind, I still do not know when my car will be built. You will get your car soon though, good for you...
 
I've just been handed a bombshell!

Signed all my documents the other day, picking car up on Saturday - all good.

Got a phone call last night from dealer, he has messed up on finance and has missed off my comfort pack. meaning my finance is an extra £15 per month.

Not really happy about it although he is a spot on and mistakes happen but I'm going to try and use this to my advantage.

I personally feel they should bite the bullet and leave everything as is and they take the hit. He is going to speak to the manager and see what can be done but going to go tonight and finish it.

What's everyones views?
 
Yes there was a mistake, however, it was their mistake and they should take the hit or offer you some sweeteners, free service or goodies.

Definitely get some compensation if you ask me ! :) how much is your monthly payments Jonny if you don't mind me asking, sorted out my finance docs last night, arranged 7 day free insurance last night for Monday ! All ready to go now :D

Yeah I agree mate! My Monthly payments are £350 pm. Most I've ever spent lol but worth it!

£358 PM buddy.. only put £500 in though. :) Youve had way more extras than me too but i suppose the diesel is around 2000 more isnt it.. I had to keep the diesel torque though ! couldnt not go for it !
 
pretty much same mate! I put £1700 deposit in as well though!

Yeah diesel is more expensive so probably works out the same!

I'm going from a diesel to be honest! I got sick of having the DPF filter being cleaned and the loud noise since it was only a small A1. Plus I hardly do any miles so not really worth it for me!

I dont blame you for wanting the torque! Althought the 1.4 COD has decent torque for petrol! Tbh every engine is good lol

Oh and my dealer got back to me about payments and they are going to take the hit!! damn right haha

I just dont feel as much pull as i do than i did in the diesel which made my mind up aswell but each to there own ai!

Not only did I get free Comfort pack but I also got parking plus free as well haha. What a result!

Not expecting much for extras when I pick car up like but I dont care. Just want my car haha. Roll on 9AM Tomorrow!! :arco:
 
Can't believe it.. Gob smacked! Dad and dealer stitched me up .. Had dealer ring me today saying finance messed up and had to come up with dad and his passport to sort it out cause our names are the same.. They've only been in on it and I've got here. Walked round the corner to do photo copy and there is my car sitting there under a sheet! Gob smacked! Just in dealership now doing paper work then driving home in it :D !!!!
