CD stuck in MK1 RSNE

Hi All, so I changed CDs over today and the new one inserted played fine. Switched off the ignition and went indoors. Came out about an hour later started the car and a message came on the screen saying no CD? Tried the old fashioned way of holding the eject button as on previous CD units I have had this was a sure fire way to force eject anything that was inside but this does not work either. Anyone got any ideas how to solve this without removing the unit and opening it up?

If all else fails my mk2 is up for sale mate but hope u get it sorted. I think you can try and eject using vcds if you have access to it :)
 
Would love Mk2 just ain't got the cash atm.. :-(
 
So I suppose my next question is anyone near NW London got VCDS? Beer tokens available!
 
Its prob best stripping it out if you dont have your own vcds for all the time it takes
 
Tbh Jacko was thinking that but I don't have the pins to pull it out or the know how to open the unit safely. I'm afraid of breaking something! Anyway it would be good to meet a local ASN member. :)

ah well true... Always good to meet the members... You get the pins, £5 from ebay n its a doddle to do.. Rnse's r ****, but theres no better alternative, i need to remove a disc from mine, maybe tomorrow cba lol
