Would prefer to verify this is the issue tbh... logging as Bill has mentioned would be a good idea or get yourself to a dyno for fault finding etc...
If you say sensor one and assuming yours is a facelift S3 based on having the coils changed and your username (model, year, engine code always a good thing to include when asking for help in diagnostics) and assuming 'sensor 1' then its the wideband sensor at the top of the downpipe
Logging AFR on a dyno using a separate lambda (normally inserted into the exhaust) and logging via VCDS would confirm if the ECU is seeing a different AFR to what it actually is...
