Despite all the abuse the paint work on Prawns car is, and always was SO nice to work with. Really really good paint work on this car. (what's original of it)

No proper pictures because I left my camera card at home. Doh'.

Silver Project are the makers of the lovely adjustable top mounts I run Fred:

I thought I had done a reasonable job of promoting them seeing as half of the VAG group members on facebook are now running them, but it seems the sticker was very much required as you and Jason were unaware of them

They look like a decent value alternative to the ground control ones (which are eerily similar design wise)...

What happened to the good old OE LCR top mounts. I can't keep up with all these changes :)

These went on back in November Fred, whilst you were painting a skirting board and driving a corsa or something I expect :racer:

I knew about them when you originally posted about them but just didnt know why you were running a massive sticker haha.

Because I'm going to a big action day tomorrow at Castle Combe with thousands of people, it's all about promotion :)

wheel is 330mm mate :)

I thought my last one was 330mm, and almost ordered a 300 this time around, but went for the 330 in the end.

When it arrived it felt TINY, turned out my old one was 350 after all

Smaller than 330 is too small IMO.

I have a suggestion for you nick......

a friend of a friend has a few jap cars and he rents his out for track days ( accompanied by him) for £100 half day plus they pay fuel and they pay for track time. His rentals paid for full engine rebuild on his rx7 efini twin turblow.

Just a thought but I reckon a cheeky ad in classifieds on here would make you some paper. ;-)

Pretty much Dan

I'll do a proper write up when a few more of the pics have come through, a load of lads I know were taking decent pics, and I've got some footage to go through from a few cameras, so once I've had time to sort all that, I'll write some more :)

One thing to note though: This new turbo, is utterly fantastic in every possible way.

Nice idea, but there's not a chance in hell I'm letting anyone else drive it on track  too much to lose man.

I'm with you dude,

It's like sharing a lollipop. Seems a good idea at the time but someone is always left with a bad taste in their mouths.

Here's another for you:

Plenty more where that came from, just haven't gone through all 2981 yet .

Car looked and sounded epic by the way, was gutted I didn't get a chance to come and have a chat but I was all over the place all day and mainly track side.

I was parked just next to you by the way, with the 306 owners club (with very few 306s haha).

Maybe you could though if your next mod was dual peddles like in a learner car.......and dual steering wheels just to be even safer for people who panic behind the wheel.

Awesome pic :) thanks man! any other pics are welcome!

Was yours the ming blue A3 with the projectz two kit? S***SAT?

I had a look around it, looked ****** lovely! didn't get a chance to say hello but saw you driving off I think!

Cheers :). I'll definitely have a few more once I've gone through them!

Yeah, that's the one! Thanks man :). I've just seen the ADI at Combe thread, hopefully I'll make it to that and can say hello then!

So, BTCC from Rockingham today. I had a lie in and watched Race 1, then got inspired, and decided to go and play pretend touring cars myself.

Before:

Testing fitting the BTCC Super2000 slicks in preperation for Spa:

I have to say, I really rather like this look:

And time to swap back :(

I look forward to seeing how these work :)
