I dunno if its just me, but Ive used diesel injector cleaner on 2 occasions now and on both times the car has felt quicker! It may well be an imagination, but the other day I nearly ran out out diesel and I had a gallon on paraffin in the boot so I slung it in knowing it would work (if on chip fat etc 
but using that made the car feel quicker too and it dont smoke at all hardly now even after a good welly
