Shipping long side skirts - stone blades from Germany to USA

Hi, I have a problem with a set of side skirts I bought from a German seller.
He promised me to send them to Miami, USA from germany but he just didn't and they are now in Berlin in a friend's house.
Problem is my friends told me there is not a courier that send them easily to Miami, USA even they just said they can't... just because they are quite long ? around 2.10 mts..
They suggested to my friends to cut them to make them smaller, but I do not think is a good idea.

For sure there are many experiences here with this kind of shipment, and appreciate suggestions and experiences or how to do this shipment

They tried them and they just said they are too long... and maybe cost a fortune.. and suggest to cut them; maybe they are just lazy (courier guys)
 
id cut them in half and rejoin shouldnt be to hard
 
Am i missing something here. Courier companies ship millions of things in all shapes and sizes all over the world every day. I have personally shipped much much larger items than side skirts. Its weight and unduly large unweildy items that seem to affect shipping. I think you are either asking the wrong questions or someone is not quite understanding what you need to ship. I can ship a set of 4 alloys with wheels from one end of the country to the other for £40.

You must be right, problem I am not in germany and they are asking to the wrong courier.
I will add a question for you, how much do you think could cost shipping of this side skirts from germany to USA? estimated please

Also, I am traveling soon to europe and i am nuts thinking to bring them with me?, do u think is it possible ? (they are long but very light so I could pay for some extra cost, any comments?

Again, i bought them one month ago, not dealer, ebay seller that did not want to send them to USA instead just Berlin, so it they are stuck there.... I am in miami otherwise I will figure out how to do it...

Put them in a ski bag and they will travel as sporting goods in the hold :)
 
Finally I have the long side skirts at home.
Now questions are about how to install them? I mean, there is a good glue to use to get a proper fixement or must use screws and where is the best place to drill?

I have a 2010 P+ A4 Avant and am looking to purchase side blades, but have been unable to find a vendor or part # for them. I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction. TIA!
