hey all got my first fault on my audi today

I was having a nice steady drive home from work
and i pulled over to run into the shop
as i left the abs started making a noise
then the noise stopped and the ABS light came on
it wont go off

so i left the car for 20minutes or so fired it back up
great no light came on drove maybe 100yards
light comes back on

daft question but would having a warped disc make the light come on as
it shakes a bit when i brake??

I've checked the 3 fuses on top of the battery look fine I replaced them anyway lights still on
Though I really need to get the car plugged in

Mine did exactly this and the 3 30A fuses on the battery were the culprit. They didn't look too bad but had obviously got hot, cleaning up the contacts and replacing the worst (I only had 1 spare) cured it. Also cured my oil sensor fault for a little while, but thats re-occured so I'm guessing is one of the fuses I didn't change.

Really depends on your fault code though, mine was showing "01276 - ABS Hydraulic Pump (V64), 16-10 - Signal Outside Specifications - Intermittent" and I think is the only ABS fault that can potentially be fixed with that simple trick - get your car scanned!

Fingers crossed I've fixed it got the car plugged in at a friends passenger side rear speed sensor came up
So I have replaced it drove up the road light went out

What a chew on to replace it i ended up removing the brakes and hammering it out that way it was stuck solid
Never fitted one before 10minute job now I know how
