Just a little post as i've upgraded to aero wipers - both of mine had lost their "black" around the spindle (ally corrosion) and the passenger arm to blade pivot finally collapsed last week.

Got the two new B7 arms (part no's as QJ's thread) for £67 and the blades for £21 all from Lincoln Audi (my local stealer).

As these are advertised as a set on ebay at £130 I thought it might be useful to let you know it can be done cheaper!

Anyhow they are fantastic, they wipe, look so sweet and fit as they should!

I've also just scored a brand new high-line steering control module (b7 type R version) off T'bay for 29 smackers!!! Am i chuffed.

DIS, cruise and, maybe, MFSW are now all on the cards.

And:yahoo:

According to our cousins over the pond yes - you can then fit a TT MkII flat bottom MFSW too (airbag issue though)

with a b7 "R" type SCCM.

decisions decisions...

And:yum:

You jammy so and so,,, ive been on the hunt for a higher end module for ages, ive got my wheel and new slipring but just missing the module to get on with it

Pictures of the new wipers please

they're just wipers... (i'll be out at 1st light to take some mind:thumbsup:)

the variations in part numbers are all in the ross-tech guide (look in QJ's wiki and click on the cruise /dis link)

Think Q suffix and definitely R is B7's.

You learn something new every day... but the airbag issue puts me off, read a post of an A3 owner where none deployed in a crash and sod's law says something like that would happen to me!

if they don't come off straight away, it's worth spending £10 on a wiper removal tool though: saves you risking paintwork and/or wiper motors... one of mine came off in 2-3mins, the other was a right pain and needed the tool...

I got my wiper arms from a Seat Exeo that was being broken for £30 - the arms are exactly the same.
you WILL need a wiper arm removal too, no question about it.

Better than that I got mine from a breakers posted for £20!!!
Keep your eyes peeled for breaking a4's on eBay!
