I have a 5 door red a3 8l. I have some 15" lenso bsx from my old mk2 golf which im thinking of putting on. Im trying to go for the euro look so i will be lowering it, getting a debadged grill and a bonnet bra (i know people moan but i like them). I was just wondering what people will think of this, having 15" wheels on this size car. Opinions please :)

Arch gaps will remain large no matter how low you go due to the size of the arches, so you won't get that tyre tucked look. Bonnet bra... ugh. Personally I think grill looks better with the chrome surround black and the audi rings left chrome or silver (see pic). Get a pic up so people can have a look :)

I know most people dont like bonnet bras but its all personal preference. I would prefer the debadged grill as want to hide the rings.lol im running on the standard 16's at the moment, when i have some time in the near future i will try to have a photoshop session. Heres how it is at the moment. Again, any suggestions welcome.

Lol. I just to know what people think of 15's on a 5 door a3?

Why not get some 16" 1.8t wheels. I watched a fully refurbed set with good tyres sell for £31 on eBay last night. They're cheap as chips matey

I dont know.lol thought it might stand out a bit. And as ive got some old lenso's sitting about i may aswell put them to use.lol

If your really slamming it then you can just about pull off small wheels but if not then it'll look ridiculous IMO. Why not flog them and get some 17 or 18"s?

mk2 golf is 4 bolt so wont fit.. Anyway, a slammed A3 on 15 inch rims with low profile tyres will be grounding out everywhere

I can make some stud adaptors at work for them to fit.the profile on my tyres now are 55's and the lenso's are 45's. it wouldnt be that bad would it?

Dont forget adapters will push the wheels out at least 15mm so that needs to be subtracted from the current offset value

Ok thanks guys. i dug the wheels out of the fathers garage and as they've been sitting for a while they look a bit worse for wear and need a good refurb etc. so they've now been put on swapz for some 17/18's
