A couple of times now I've found my A3 TDi sitting on the driveway bleeping away, with hazard lights flashing, for no apparent reason. These are no signs of why its done this, I just unlock and lock again with the key fob and it's okay again. There's no sign of tamper, however, it's not the alarm it's just beeping :-?

Any idea what his may be?

Thanks

No windows open and no wiper issue that I know of. It's happened after being left overnight on my drive and then going off in the morning, and another time after being left overnight I went into the car to get something and twenty minutes later off it went :-?

get someone with VCDS to scan it, should point out if theres any dodgy sensors. Check the vcds map to see whos local to u

Still not got to the bottom of this and it did it again at 4:30am last week :-? That's the first time since I started this thread, so it's very random...

BTW: that beeping IS the alarm! that's what it sounds like ...Pathetic.

Check your movement sensors & the interior in general for Arachnids. ;)

Really? No! That's a joke! Right I'm gonna get my little 'un to sit in the car while I lock it, just to see if it is, he won't like it, but needs must

When mine did it, it was the rear wiper/washer issue. It dumps water into the tailgate lock contacts so the microswitch thinks the taligate's open even when it's locked - but it it goes from thinking it's locked to open randomly and sets the alarm off.
