Hi guys,

I haven't had my a3 very long and was cleaning the inside of it today and came across this below its behind the review mirror it's like a flap lol. What is it and what's it purpose lol.

it a little centre sun visor, it took me about 6 months to find mine
 
Well this is spooky! I found mine yesterday too while cleaning the interior and wondered what it was lol. Had my car 9 months :)
 
Cheers guys that's clears that up for me and immos lol was really weird I thought I had broken something haha.
 
Amazing the amount of people who dont know this. Its same with golfs (mk4s anyway). Showed my aunt/uncle few months back and they had car for over 10yrs!!

Haha that is amazing I'm guessing cause it's not really in a place u look to often I just saw it as I was cleaning the windscreen lol.
 
took me 4 years and 3 8P's to find mine!

Used it once, the day I found it, never need it.
 
i use mine constantly and did in my golf mk4! handy to block low sun
 
Mine has an emergency stick of gum underneath for quick release ... isn't that what it's for?

and crashed because they were momentarily dazzled through that gap???

Im suprised as I thought it was just me who found this after a long time. Specifically 2 years later of owning the car.

And mines a B6.
 
I found it when I first got the car but didn't have a clue what it was for. Thought it was something to do with the alarm :blush:
 
I found mine a year after owning my car then the other day found one in my sisters LUPO as well lol
 
Haha it's comical that they out theses in our cars and they are pointless taken people months and years to discover them lol.
 
ha, great, i was reading all these post's and thought to my self, hmmm, wounder if the a6 has it, and to my supprise after 3 years of owning the car, it does!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

Haha I just love it everyone is checking I bet everyone Audi has one from a certain year it's probably some silly safety measure which none of of use haha.
