So did some logging yesterday night of my 3rd and 4th gear from approx 2000rpm, and the results are in.

I logged channel 11, 03 and 10

Certain places it sort of spikes downwards, but please could you guys explain to me the results.

The Actual MAF reading is higher compared to the specified, however this could be due to the EGR bypass I have in place.

MAF is the minimum required air flow into the intake for a given acceleration. The actual will always be higher (unless there's a fault) because there's nothing to stop air going into the intake. MAF is basically Air, Yes or No...Yes, bang can happen...No, fault, no air, no bang.

Your MAP (boost) readings appear good but some repeated throttle cycles normally give more info. Have a look a this recent thread.

Results are easier to read in graph form so here's a how-to. Someone has posted a graphing tool on this forum that Swarcup used in the link above, but I can't find it. Maybe he can point you in the right direction if you don't have Excel.

On this graph ready are all over as I was going through all the gears, but not maxing the throttle.

Are you trying to trace a fault because nothing looks out of the ordinary (even with too many plots on one graph!:) )

I feel that it doesn't have power as it used to before.

When shifting from 1st to 2nd from approx 2900rpm it used to even wheel spin, but now I can't for the life of me make it do that.

Baring in mind I still have the same tyres as I had then.

Intake manifold is spanking clean and have had the EGR bypass done. Its also running stock so don't have a clue what it may be.

Do another log but block 11 only. Then plot Specified vs Actual pressure only so we can see the boost log clearly. Every time I look at the graph above, I doubt which colour legend is for what line

Looks like a text book boost plot so perhaps your issue is elsewhere. You say your not getting the power down like you used to so maybe your clutch is past it's best?

Certainly looks like a good boost plot. I'd like to see logs of group 013 & 023 to see what the injectors are up to.

Ok. Ill wait until tonight and post it up. Just want to make sure everything is cool before I get it mapped too.

OK im confused by this one so didn't post the pic of the actual graph.

Injectors logs are "status checks" rather than graph logs.

Seems you could have one or two problem injectors. A value of around 1 mg/str in block 13 usually indicates a problem. Lots of negative values in block 23 doesn't look good either. Have a look at block 18 and see if there's any figures logging there, ideally they should be all zeros.

Here's a link to Paul's thread where he had a problem injector

Your problems could be cured with some injector cleaner (I've used Liqui Moly Diesel Purge). Failing that, you need to check the injector lash, as described in Paul's thread. Then it's swapping out injectors to trace which one/ones are at fault. It could also be worn camshaft lobes, particularly if you car has been on the long life service plan.

I'm sure Paul will be along soon to share his hands-on knowledge.

Sorry, mate!

Finger's crossed they're just dirty. Google the Liqui Moly Diesel Purge. You pump the stuff through the engine instead of fuel (direct through the fuel lines and not the tank). It left a big patch of soot at my exhaust when I did mine and it brought my figures down in block 18.

I've just ordered a 500ml can now. So hopefully its just clogged and nothing major.

Also how do I check for cam wear without opening my rocker. I know I look through the oil cap, but what am I looking for to be precise.

Very limited view through the oil filler cap so ideally rocker cover off. Plenty of images if you google but a good lobe will have a smooth, even surface with no scores, grooves, ridges, etc. From what I've read, it seems to be more common on the 2.5 Tdi rather than the 1.9 Tdi though

Yes, you need to get the rocker cover off & check the cam lobes. PD engine has known wear issues with worn cam lobes.
Cover is easy to remove but i would advise that you get a new rocker gasket, £18ish from TPS IIRC. If the cam looks ok it would point to injectors failing, again not uncommon.

Ok, finally the can is here, but do you guys know what size is the pipe I need to get.

Im thinking of nipping over to machinemart or eurocarparts to get the hoses and joints

I think i used 8mm tubing that I got from ebay along with some metal pipe connectors. Be aware that normal silicon tubing goes very soft with the hot fuel so I recommend getting high temp tubing. Also, because you're potentially dislodging crap in the engine, I'd recommend doing an oil, oil filter and fuel filter change after doing a purge.
