California Scents - What's YOUR Favourite?

Hi all,

So, I've had my California Scents airfreshner in the car for a few months now and I need a new one. Going to purchase a few from Babz on eBay but I was thinking of trying some new ones rather than purchasing the usual Coronado Cherry. So I just wanted to know....

What's your top 3 favourite flavours?

I will have to say Cherry is the best and the most long lasting. Mine has been in my car 6 months now and still smells ! It sits nicely in the cup-holder and when it is hot and sunny it smells even more.
 
Cherry. I have the newport new car in my works van and ive had the clean linen which is nice just not as strong
 
There are great. I finally ordered some. I went for a few different scents (new car, Berry, Coconut and Lavender) but stuck a cherry one in first as it's the forum fave. Once it settles in, it kind of makes your car smell like cherry bakewell. Bad news if you're a bit of a pie muncher as it makes you want to go buy some cake or sweets :)

I heard some people say that the cherry goes off and start to smell like sick. I can't say that's happened to me yet. My car still smells lovely. Excellent stuff. I'll be interested in trying the other ones I've ordered, but as these last so long, it may be a while.
 
I'm a California Scents nut.
Although I don't anymore I used to smoke and it hid the smell of fags from
my car and my van beautifully.
Coronado cherry is a favourite but I'm giving Volcanic Cherry a whirl at the moment
which is definitely a more subtle smell after the initial week. Volcanic Cherry is from
the california scents extreme range and unlike the others has a wax like gel in the
bottom of the tin and not the impregnated wadding found in the regular type.

After that's used up I'll be back to my usual scent as I have a modded tin for that
which I reuse which has velcro glued to the bottom of it so I can stick it to the carpet
under the drivers seat and keep my cupholders empty.
 
Ive had 4 in my glove box for ages. but the one in my cup holder under arm rest has been in since nov last year and people still comment how the sex my car smells. ps they are cherry ;)
 
Ordered 2 cherry, 2 coconut and 2 bubblegum for a tenner delivered. Nice smell, a bit overwhelming when I first opened it but got the hang of the twisty thingy lol

newport new car....in my new car. seems pointless really but had to see what all the hype was about and it lived up to it by miles.
 
The cherry one smells like sick to me, hated it.
 
Do Halfords sell these things? Wouldn't mind trying one out before buying in bulk from eBay.

Any recommendations for a first scent to try?

Yes they do, they have a scratch and sniff on them too. They're a little pricey in there though
 
You sometimes see them on the counter of Shell garages for about 3quid a pop.
Obviously, Halfords overcharge for them. You could also try amazon.

Haha definitely. I've had Coronado Cherry in for a couple of months now and whenever one of my friends gets in he always says it makes him want cherry bakewells! I won't be purchasing cherry again though, there's loads of others I want to try, even if they aren't as strong as most people say.

As Babz messed up my order I ended up with an extra one for free. I have a couple of cherry ones, so if you want to try one of those, PM me a postal address and you can have one of mine mate.
 
Got a cherry one of these as a present for the S3 today after reading this thread. I can't smell anything because of my damn hayfever but it comes in a nice tin!
 
Cherry and Berry ones seem to be the best bet then. May try Bubblegum and a few others though as they aren't that expensive.

I know what people are saying about the Cherry ones smelling a bit horrible after a while. I had one in for about 4 months, and I thought it still smelt nice but other people thought otherwise :unsure:
