Hi,

I thought I would join this site as I am very soon going to be the proud owner of an A3 (Cannot Wait) :)

Seems like these past 3 months have been 10 years. Can't wait to get my A3. The last update I had was on Friday stating that my A3 was waiting to be shipped. Anybody know how much longer I will have to wait??
 
Anything from 2 to 4 weeks from what I've seen other people say
 
Wow that long. Thanks for the heads up!! Looks like I'll have to re-tax my current car (expires on Sunday)
 
Afraid so - it'll be sitting in a port in Germany probably!
 
You can always get a tax refund though on unused tax on your car
 
Yeah I will just do that. Not too much of a problem, just desperate to get my car. Will feel strange not having it to look forward to once I have it though. Never happy :huh:
 
audi upgrades
I too got the same notice regarding shipping. Working in logistics, I can tell you that there is a vessel due into Tyne today which originated Emden..,,,the Geman port from where the Audis are shipped. The vessel is a roll on roll off and is packed to the gunnels wih Audis....I'm told mine is on it as was ready to ship 2 weeks ago.....yours may well be in it too !!!

Thanks for the information. This has just made me more excited now. I'm like a kid on Xmas Eve. Hopefully not too long now :)
 
You will have to give me a shout when you hear anything. I will do likewise as soon as I get my call :)

Cool, another two cars waiting to be collected soon, will get some music organised today for you guys. :) x

Well I am pleased to say I have just had my call, and I can pick my car up this SATURDAY!! Yes in two days time. Unbelievable. Cannot wait :)

Hi Ricoh, congratulations on your early delivery, that is quick. What flavour and options of A3 have you ordered? Another Daytona grey?

Heh, that's my birthday! Still another 2 1/2 month wait for me though :/

Happy birthday in advance! Cemerson, we can collect our scuba blue cars at the same time, I have noticed that your build week somehow keeps creeping forwards......do you secretly cancel other people's order to nick their slot?....haha...only joking.

Heh, no - my dealer claims he is ringing Audi to get it pushed forwards, but I don't believe him - I guess people are just cancelling and it just happens to keep coming forwards. 1 more week forward and it could hit that all important Spet 1st date!
 
My dealer is only 3.4 miles from the dock, so I should get it super quick. :jump:

I'm based in Liverpool so I'm guessing it was on an earlier vessel to yours FirstEverAudi.

I went for the 1.6 TDI, sport trim, brilliant black with Comfort pack, Folding Mirrors and the interior lighting. I ordered mine in April so will I also get the DAB radio?

Will post some pics when I pick it up

Fairly close to my spec, in fact the closest one ive seen to my order. DAB radio introduced week 22 build, so may be lucky!
no road tax for you then!

Hi Richo, if you have been waiting 3 months count yourself very lucky! A lot of people around here breaking the 6 month barrier, I will be getting mine in month 7 of waiting. Too long! Worth it though, I am sure. :rockwoot:
