I'm currently running 245/40/18 tyres but need to downsize to minimise rubbing.
Has anyone got 225's on an 8.5j alloy just to give me an idea of stretch if any?

Thanks, Kris

I've got 235 40's too on the 8.5" zenders.

These are Falken ZE914's and are a narrow 235. I have conti's on the rear and they are wider (c.10mm overall!!!)

235's look good, I'm just thinking 225's to avoid rubbing completely on the rear.
archemist, do yours rub at all?

Don't know how I just done this?? haha weird.

I don't get rubbing at all on my 235's even going over a harsh bump

Smaller than 8.5J but lower

225/40/18 tyres on my 18" S-Line wheels. I'm not sure if theyre 8.5J though. There's a slight stretch but its not massive.

Thanks guys. Gonna go with 225's.
The offset of my wheels are 29, so that lined up with an 8.5j width the line up pretty much flush with the arch. So need a tiny bit of stretch to slip behind arch when hitting bumps.
