Changed the cabin filter on my A4 at the weekend found a black flexi pipe (like tiny kopex). It has a oval shape plastic washer glued on the end. What's this pipe for?

I agrew with Marky. On mine, the pipe comes from a little hole on the side of the battery, and disappears down the side of the cabin filter housing.
