1.9 td iIm noticing oil spray at the top of the engine around the silver round thing. ( technical term) Its not horrendous just messy. Ive cleaned up around it but I guess it will happen again gradually. How can i stop this and whats causing it to happen now. Any advice welcome.

Thats a messy job I really don't need. Is the valve leaky because of crud build up or does it need replacing?

The oil will most likely be leaking from where the intake pipe joins the egr as it's not the best mating ever designed. The oil comes from the turbo seals and the crankcase breather and is normally burnt off in the engine...white smoke when booting it. It could be that your egr & manifold is clogged, causing the oil to pool and get forced out of the egr/intake pipe union.
