just about, right here!
as 'most' of you boys and girls actually work for a living, and most being forced to take food to work, i thought i would put a little thread up to inspire us hard workers by having different suggestions of packed lunch you lot take!
making our daily nosebag a bit more pleasing!
the usual sandwich's people take seem to never change and get a bit boring day in day out without change!
post your exciting suggestions here, pics would be even better!
the weirdest i have known was a lad that used to take chicken and cold devon custard sandwich's to work (i swear i am not lying) and love them! :puke:
and just lately i have started taking corned beef and cheese sandwich's! a combo that actually works! lol

Never go wrong with cheese and ham sandwich.

If out on my bike has to be jam :)

ham and cheese is always a nice one! got to be proper ham though none of that wafer thin gear and decent cheese plus the obvious lurpak for lube! :whistle2:

jam is good, seen a program on the telly about energy drinks, and basically they said for energy you cannot beat jam sarnies for slow and high release energy over ANY energy drink! plus water! for rehydration!

i saw that too, world champion just destroyed the energy drink/supplement marker haha

Sausage and marmite. Add cheese and/or bacon/egg to suit the mood.

Apple and cheese, both thinly sliced.

Generally though i either a) dont work and make the above at home, or b) forget i took them and auto pilot to maccy d's for lunch.

As I'm on the healthy trail, I'm just allowed chicken salad baguette, with no butter or any sauces, still darn tasty if made right! But I'm craving a sausage and egg sandwich on crusty bread with the sausage well done! :yum:

This is for lunch, for dinner, I can have anything on my menu! lol

thanks for the input guys! keep them coming! :icon_thumright:
i was half expecting somebody posh to tell me they have lobster thermadore panninis with wild mushroom and caviar or something lol!

Cheese and marmite.. Classic and hard to beat. Salad cream, corned beef and cheese. Sausage and grated cheese.

Marmite and Cheese and onion crisps. Lovely, or tinned ham/spam and salad cream. The new uncle bens sweet and sour rice pots are good too, curry ones are ok but not as nice. Pate in toasted Bagels. (I like change ) ;)

Today at work I ate (from 7:30 until 6pm):
2 bananas
1 red apple
1 green apple
3 sticks of celery
3 carrots
1 yellow pepper
1 tomato
10cm of cucumber
A bit of humus
A handful of raisins
A handful of sultanas
A few unsalted cashews
A bread bun.

Are you some sort of fuzzy little woodland creature?

I try to mix it up, ham and cheese is nice or ham cheese and salad

Worth a try… sliced beetroot sandwiches

What’s nice on the night shift on a cold day, is dissolve a oxo cube and dunk your cheese sandwiches in, its nice just to drink too

Thanks for all the comments.

About a year ago I decided to change my diet and become a lot healthier, so I started eating loads more fruit and veg (really?) and stopped eating sweets, chocolate, cakes and biscuits, and I also stopped drinking alcohol.
I've lost over a stone in weight and approaching 40 I'm the fittest I've ever been and I feel great for it.
I do eat normal food in the evenings, but by spreading all that lot out over the day I no longer snack on rubbish like I used to do.
