Right im a bit stuck as what to do with my s3 wheel wise especially with gti international looming.

I currently am running 18" RSTT reps with 225/40/18 tyres all round. The car is lowered on apex springs and has 12mm hub centric spacers up front and 20mm hubcentrics at the rear. The RSTTs could do with a refub and i have the etech wheel kit at home but the tyres have all seen better days tbh. I have been offered a set of Calibre vintage alloys with tyres 17" 5x100 8J wide for a reasonable price however they are fully powedercoated in black and im not sure how these would look on my ming blue s3.

Proposed new wheels

Current setup

Will the 17s look too small? Will the car be more responsive and handle better on 17s compared to 18s?
Should i refufb the rstts and wrap with decent rubber?
Has anyone got any pics of black bbs lms or calibre vintages on a dark coloured s3?

Thanks in advance
Adam

I do like the calibre wheels, but I think unless its an OEM wheel, than you should stick to your 18'' RSTT's, the calibre would look small IMO in 17'' form.

Thanks for your feedback guys. Its appreciated :icon_thumright:

Im going to try one of the wheels on over the weekend and see how they look and how the car sits etc. If it looks naff i will refurb the RSTTs and wrap them in some decent rubber for the summer. Most people go for Falkens FK452's iv read, does anyone know how they compare to the hancook v12s?

Cheers
Adam
