hi guys, just wondering is there any of the b7 models that came with a black head cloth and side pillars? was thinking of changing mine from the grey, but I would need the sun visors as well. might be just easier to bring it to someone who does interiors and get it retrimmed? thanks, joe.
 
All depends on the cost of re-trimming Joe, now and again they come up on ebay or on here, I got mine last year from a member on here. Think I paid £100 + £80 petrol round trip to pick it up, but defo worth it. I have a complete headliner, pillars and trims - thinking about respraying black or maybe covering in alcantara
 
Yeah well I was thinking the alcanTara route as well, just to glue it onto the existing cloth? But I don't see anywhere that sells rolls of it online?
Is there any links to a diy spraying topic? Tried the search on here, but nothing showed up for me.
 
Mine came with the black headling ect as standard...........
 
Ya tiffy, I think the special edition came with black pillars and cloth. Must keep an eye out for one for sale.
 
how can you tell if you have a special edition mine is a 2.0tfsi quattro s line and it has the black (charcole,ish) head liner pillars and sun visors
 
It'll have other random black trim.

i wouldn't trim the pillars and trim above the doors, they contain airbags!!
 
I think Steve is talking about the grey head cloth Brownie, I think he means the sunvisors and rear view mirror, the interim lamp surrounds and seat belt holes, will also need to be painted
to answer your question about the special edition, from what I know, they had black grill and window surrounds instead of chrome, two tone leather interior and steering wheel, and Black head trims and 18'' rs4 wheels. All were s lines as well, I am sure there are other features I can't think of at the minute.
